Hot Music for Hot People

Hey ya’ll.  Good news, I’ve got an update for ya and it’s about music!

What’s going on in music this week?

Let me tell you.  I’m going to break this down by highlighting 3 artists every week, one emerging, one established, and one international act and then tell you a little bit about what is going on in their world.

In the emerging category we have Ontario’s own The Balconies.  What’s going on with them?  They’ve got a hot new video for one.

Front-woman Jacqui Neville looks awesome, as usual.  They’re also doing some touring over the next couple of weeks, you can check them out here –

July 7 @ St. George’s Square, GUELPH (*Guelph Busking for Change)
July 9 @ Living Arts Centre Outdoor Stage, MISSISSAUGA (*Rock the Coliseum)
July 14 @ SummerFest Outdoor Stage, BELLEVILLE (*Belleville Busking for Change)
Aug 5 @ The Red Dog, PETERBOROUGH (*andPOPandFRIENDS Acoustic Tour)
Aug 12 @ The London Music Hall Lounge, LONDON, (*andPOPandFRIENDS Acoustic Tour)
Aug 14 @ The Mansion House, ST CATHARINES (*andPOPandFRIENDS Acoustic Tour)

What’s going on in the world of Earl Greyhound?

Just looking at these guys makes you want to listen to them.

Earl Greyhound just released their second album Suspicious Package.  That’s cool, right?  What’s even cooler is that you can check out 3 free songs from Suspicious Package right here –

These guys are also on tour right now through Canada and some northern States which you can check out here, although the tour has been delayed due to an injury.

Okay, on to the big boys.

Cypress Hill is on tour right now with Slightly Stoopid on the Legalize It 2010 Tour.  We all know Cypress Hill for their love of marijuana so this is just really cool.  What’s even better is that this tour is going literally everywhere.

Touring hard 15 years later.

You can check out two free songs and the tour schedule here.

Folks, that’s what is hot in music this week you beautiful people, next week I’ve got a solo artist from Montreal, some Detroit House and more!
