There’s a rule of thumb in Canada that musicians from Quebec won’t find success outside of their own province. Every once in a while there’s a breakthrough but for the most part the two Canada’s have separate industries that talk to each other as often as Gorbachev and Reagan did in the early 80’s.
Misteur Valaire may be the catalyst to tear down that wall, much like Bran Van 3000 in the 90’s and early 00’s. Known for their jazz infused rock chops and arguably one of the best live shows in North America, they’ve just released a video for the first song off their new album.
This is a band definitely worth checking out on album and live, even at the same time if you can. They’re releasing their new album over the course of the next year and are implementing a monthly payment system that will give fans access to new music and other perks before anyone else.
